The disputes team regularly represents clients before Commercial Courts, District Courts, and Consumer Commissions.
Details of the Job/Internship
Clergy & Wisemen is hiring a Senior Associate for its Disputes Team in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft legal pleadings including plaints, written statements, writ petitions, affidavits, applications, and Public Interest Litigations (PILs).
- Conduct legal research and assist in developing litigation strategies for ongoing matters.
- Provide pre-litigation advisory and draft legal notices for clients.
- Handle mediation proceedings and assist in dispute resolution processes.
- Manage multiple litigation matters simultaneously while maintaining detailed case records.
- Coordinate with clients, court registries, and senior counsel regarding case updates and documentation.
- Represent matters before Commercial Courts, District Courts, and Consumer Commissions when required.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree from a recognized university.
- Active enrolment with the Bar Council of India.
- Minimum 3+ years of litigation experience.
- Strong knowledge of the Civil Procedure Code (CPC), Commercial Courts Act, and Consumer Protection Act.
- Excellent drafting and legal research skills.
- Practical court experience and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.
