Details of the Job/Internship

Chargebee is hiring a Senior Legal Associate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial law to support its fast-paced, global operations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed reviews of contracts and related documents to ensure alignment with approved business practices, legal standards, finance requirements, and risk management policies.
• Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and relevant industry regulations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to clarify contract terms and resolve issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, license, and partnership agreements.
• Streamline agreement review processes and provide regular status reports to internal teams.
• Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the impact of contract terms and propose mitigation strategies.
• Help maintain and update standard agreements, playbooks, and internal documentation related to contract processes.

Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law within a reputable law firm or global technology company.
• Law degree from an accredited institution and license to practice law or work as in-house counsel.
• Strong experience with outbound SaaS transactions, inbound vendor agreements, data protection, security, and cloud technology.
• Knowledge of privacy and data protection regulations relevant to SaaS.
• Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional projects and support end-of-quarter requirements.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and exercise sound judgment.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Salary/Stipend
