Details of the Job/Internship
Cleantech Industry Resources is hiring a Senior Legal Associate with 5+ years of experience to join its team, with the position based in Ahmedabad, Noida, or Chennai. The role involves providing legal support for renewable energy operations, drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic transactions within the renewable energy sector.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts for complex transactions with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Standardizing EPC, Power Purchase Agreements, and other related agreements, and preparing business toolkits based on negotiation learnings and management inputs.
- Providing legal and compliance support in strategic transactions.
- Conducting research on compliance and regulatory frameworks applicable to the solar industry in the United States.
- Providing cross-functional legal support to HR, finance, administration, procurement, logistics, and business development teams.
- Developing and delivering training programs on legal and compliance issues relevant to the renewable energy industry.
- Assisting with corporate governance compliance, including drafting corporate policies, preparing board resolutions, and maintaining corporate records.
- Staying updated on developments in renewable energy law, technology, and industry best practices.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks related to the solar industry in the United States.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
