Details of the Job/Internship

CodeGen International is hiring a Senior Legal Associate with experience of 2–3 years to join their office in Colombo. This role offers an opportunity to gain experience in corporate law while working with experienced legal professionals in the IT industry. The position involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts, handling intellectual property matters including filing and registration of applications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance on business initiatives, and conducting legal research to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts.
• Manage intellectual property matters, including filing and registration of applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide legal guidance and support on business initiatives.
• Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry developments.
• Conduct legal research to ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks, and provide sound legal advice.
• Assist in managing legal documentation, records, and databases.
• Maintain exemplary attention to detail.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Handle high-pressure situations effectively.
• Demonstrate high ethical and professional standards expected of a legal professional.
• Maintain good communication skills.

Eligibility

• LLB qualification from a recognised university.
• Attorney-at-Law qualification with at least 2–3 years of post-qualified experience.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Knowledge and experience in intellectual property matters.

Salary/Stipend
