Details of the Job/Internship
Juspay is hiring a Senior Legal Associate with 2–4 years of experience to join their team in Bangalore. The role involves managing and supporting legal operations across Juspay products and global entities, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, and ensuring data protection compliance.
Role and Responsibilities
Commercial Contracts:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including SaaS agreements, partnerships, and technology service agreements.
- Provide risk-based, business-enabling legal advice to stakeholders.
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and track contract lifecycles and obligations.
Regulatory & Compliance (India + International):
- Monitor developments in fintech and payments regulations.
- Assist with compliance frameworks and coordinate on audit queries.
Global Legal & Corporate Governance:
- Support legal documentation and compliance for subsidiaries in Singapore, Ireland, Brazil, and the US.
- Handle cross-border transactions and documentation.
Data Protection & Privacy:
- Support implementation of data protection policies (GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA, etc.).
- Conduct privacy risk assessments and support data transfer reviews and agreements.
- Ensure privacy-by-design principles across internal processes.
Internal Legal Support & Research:
- Conduct legal research and prepare guidance notes.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams.
Eligibility
- 2–4 years of experience in a reputed law firm or in-house legal team (fintech/tech preferred).
- Strong knowledge of contract law, fintech regulations, and data protection laws.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a high-growth environment.
- Integrity, ownership mindset, and collaborative approach.
