Details of the Job/Internship

Lexicon Legal is hiring a Senior Legal Associate (Corporate Department) with experience of a minimum of 2 years to join its office in Surat, Gujarat. The role involves advising clients on corporate and commercial matters, leading transactions, supervising junior associates, and independently managing complex assignments with sound commercial judgment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating corporate and commercial contracts, including shareholder agreements, investment agreements, joint venture documents, supply and service contracts, SaaS and licensing arrangements, employment documentation, and general business contracts.
• Conducting and supervising legal due diligence for clients.
• Providing advisory support on corporate and commercial matters.
• Reviewing and structuring transactions to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with Indian legal requirements.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and providing timely and commercially aligned legal advice.
• Managing multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision.
• Guiding, mentoring, and supervising Junior Associates.
• Reviewing work products of Junior Associates and providing constructive feedback.

Eligibility

• LL.B. from a recognised university; LL.M. is an added advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in corporate and commercial law.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills with experience in commercial contracts.
• In-depth understanding of corporate laws, FEMA, contract law, and relevant sectoral regulations.
• Ability to independently handle client interactions and lead transactions.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and professional communication abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced practice environment.
