Oister Global is looking for candidates for the position of Senior Legal Associate.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal Advisory:
- Provide legal guidance and advice to various departments within the organization.
- Analyze and interpret legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Offer proactive legal support to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters.
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
- Ensure that all contractual agreements align with company policies and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Compliance:
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the company.
- Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and provide training to employees.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities.
- Devise strategies to mitigate legal risks and ensure the protection of the company's interests.
Liaison with External Parties:
- Interact with external law firms, regulatory authorities, and government agencies.
- Undertake shareholder communications.
Policy Development:
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies.
- Ensure that policies are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Training and Education:
- Provide legal training sessions to internal teams to enhance legal awareness.
- Keep employees informed about legal developments affecting the business.
Eligibility
- 3-4 years of experience in corporate, transactions and (preferably) funds practice in a law firm.
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- Strong knowledge of Indian laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in contract management, compliance, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with corporate governance principles.
