Details of the Job/Internship
Treelife is hiring a Senior Legal Associate – PE/VC Transactions with 4–8 years of experience to join its office in BKC, Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle PE/VC, corporate, and transactional matters, including funding, governance, and investments.
- Lead investment transactions from drafting and vetting to negotiation of transaction documents.
- Advise on complex legal structures across varied business models.
- Manage compliance and legal functions while working directly with founders.
- Oversee multiple projects and manage the legal team.
- Provide advisory on company law, data protection, commercial contracts, foreign investments, acquisitions, and exits.
Eligibility
- BLS (LLB/LLM) or BA (LLB/LLM) from a recognized university.
- 4–8 years of experience in a law firm or similar organization.
- Experience in M&A, PE/VC transactions, and corporate restructuring.
- Strong judgment and ability to provide legal opinions effectively.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Prior startup experience preferred but not mandatory.
