Treelife is hiring a Senior Legal Associate: PE/VC Transactions with 4–8 years of experience to join their office in BKC, Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Possess knowledge, interest, and experience in PE/VC, corporate, and transactional matters.
- Handle funding-related work, disclosures, reporting, corporate governance, and investments.
- Advise on complex structures involving multiple startup founders and investors.
- Manage the legal team and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Lead investment transactions for startups and investors, including drafting, vetting, and negotiating documents.
- Oversee compliance and legal functions while working directly with founders.
- Advise on a variety of matters including PE/VC, company law, data protection, commercial contracts, foreign investments, acquisitions, and exits.
Eligibility
- BLS (LLB/LLM) or BA (LLB/LLM) from a recognized university.
- 4–8 years of experience in a law firm, boutique, or similar setup.
- Hands-on experience in Mergers & Acquisitions, PE/VC transactions, and Corporate Restructuring.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and communication skills.
- Leadership capabilities.
- Prior startup experience preferred but not necessary.
