Unimarks Legal Solutions is looking for a candidate for the position of Seniro Legal Associate.

Role and Responsibilities

Advisory and Compliance:

Provide expert advice on all aspects of intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and licensing.
Ensure compliance with national and international intellectual property laws and regulations.
Develop and implement intellectual property strategies to protect the company’s assets.

Litigation and Dispute Resolution:

Manage and oversee intellectual property litigation, including infringement cases.
Handle dispute resolution processes, including negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
Collaborate with external counsel as needed.

Portfolio Management:

Oversee the company's intellectual property portfolio, ensuring timely registration, renewal, and enforcement of rights.
Conduct due diligence and audits of intellectual property assets.

Contract and Agreement Drafting:

Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including licensing, confidentiality, research and development, and joint venture agreements.
Ensure that all agreements are in compliance with applicable laws and protect the company’s intellectual property interests.

Training and Development:

Provide training and guidance to junior associates and other staff on intellectual property matters.
Stay current with developments in intellectual property law and disseminate knowledge within the organization.

Research and Analysis:

Conduct legal research and analysis to support the company's intellectual property strategy.
Monitor changes in relevant legislation and case law, and assess their impact on the company's operations.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments, including R&D, marketing, and business development, to integrate intellectual property considerations into business planning.
Represent the company in meetings with clients, regulators, and other stakeholders.

Eligibility

Equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in intellectual property law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
Strong understanding of national and international intellectual property laws and regulations.
Proven track record in managing intellectual property litigation and dispute resolution.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
