USDC Global is hiring a Senior Legal Associate with experience of 7+ years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
Legal Advice & Strategy:
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and various business units.
- Advise on key business and corporate matters including contracts, compliance,
- intellectual property, and governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess legal risks and recommend proactive solutions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Conduct risk analysis on corporate activities and business practices.
Corporate Governance & Compliance:
- Advise the company on matters related to corporate governance, shareholder
- rights, and compliance with corporate law.
- Oversee and manage the company’s compliance program.
- Develop and maintain internal policies and procedures to comply with legal standards and minimize risk.
Dispute Resolution:
- Oversee and manage litigation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings or manage external counsel in such matters.
- Handle disputes and settlement issues efficiently and cost-effectively.
Leadership & Mentoring:
- Led and mentored junior legal team members.
- Manage the legal department’s budget and external legal resources.
- Contribute to the development of departmental strategies and processes.
Mergers, Acquisitions & Other Corporate Transactions:
- Support or lead M&A transactions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.
- Provide legal counsel on corporate restructuring, business expansions, and other significant transactions.
Eligibility
- Equivalent degree from an accredited law school.
- Significant experience in managing legal risks, disputes, and compliance issues within a corporate setting.
- Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on general commercial, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance.
Salary/Stipend
