Details of the Job/Internship

V-Key is looking for a candidate for the position of Senior Legal Associate.

Role and Responsibilities

• Responsible for reviewing, negotiating, and closing commercial contracts e.g. non-disclosure agreements, partnership agreements, RFPs, software license agreements, etc.
• Advise relevant internal stakeholders on their queries regarding contractual terms such as renewals/extensions, project timelines, etc. 
• Occasional dealings in contentious work e.g. liquidated damages and/or debt recovery, but also proactively advising on ways to reduce potential risk exposure to litigation.
• Manage legal technology platform to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the legal department; Stay updated on new feature releases and assess their applicability.
• Provide training and support to other internal stakeholders in the use of legal tech platforms.
• Continuously maintain and improve contract database.
• Handle other legal tasks and perform ad hoc legal research as assigned by the Regional Legal Counsel.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in law with demonstrated excellent academic performance. 
• 1-3 years of experience as a transactional attorney, preferably with prior in-house experience.
• Strong knowledge of basic principles of contract drafting, review and negotiation with an ability to provide practical and well-reasoned solutions.
• Good interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration 
• A strong self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-moving environment. 
• Responsive and follows through on commitments.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English (both written and oral).
• Proficiency in using MS Office and legal tech platforms.
