Details of the Job/Internship
Yogayatan Group is hiring a Senior Legal Associate with 3+ years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, vet, and negotiate complex infrastructure and maritime contracts.
- Handle contracts for vessel/dredger charter, sale, purchase, and engineering procurement.
- Advise management on contractual rights, risks, and obligations.
- Negotiate tenders, legal clearances, and contracts with counterparties.
- Lead arbitration, dispute resolution, and litigation proceedings.
- Monitor statutory, regulatory, and contractual compliance.
- Structure contracts for joint ventures and engineering, port, shipping, and dredging operations.
- Provide legal inputs for board meetings, investor discussions, and project reviews.
- Maintain contract management systems and documentation.
- Stay updated on amendments in contract law, marine laws, environment laws, and infrastructure regulations.
Eligibility
- LL.B./LL.M. from a reputed institution.
- Additional certifications in Arbitration, Infrastructure Law, or Maritime Law preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a solicitor firm.
- Knowledge of real estate, land, and maritime-related legal matters is an advantage.
- Specialisation in Contract Law, Arbitration, Risk Management, Infrastructure, or Maritime Law.
