Details of the Job/Internship
Treelife is hiring a Senior Associate – Contracts with 6-10 years of post-qualification experience to join their Legal Department at their BKC office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Independently draft, review, redline, and negotiate a variety of mid-complexity contracts.
- Advise on pre-litigation strategy and legal risk, working directly with founders and investors.
- Oversee full contract lifecycle including renewals, amendments, renegotiations, and terminations.
- Implement contract processes and privacy compliance measures across jurisdictions.
- Manage multiple ongoing client projects efficiently.
- Lead contract management functions and coordinate with leadership.
Eligibility
- LLB from a reputed law school.
- 6–10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably as in-house legal counsel in a corporate or startup.
- Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts such as SAAS agreements, MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and change orders.
- Familiarity with international data protection laws (GDPR, COPPA).
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
