Details of the Job/Internship
AVEVA is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with 10+ years of experience to join its APAC legal team in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts including software, services, and procurement agreements.
- Provide cross-functional legal advice ensuring compliance with laws and group policies.
- Lead negotiations with customers, partners, and vendors.
- Manage internal stakeholders, external counsel, and regulatory authorities.
- Support HR, licensing, and regional legal matters.
- Develop contract templates, legal processes, and training initiatives.
- Prepare legal trackers, summaries, and support dispute management.
- Assist in strengthening legal procedures supporting APAC operations.
Eligibility
- LL.B or LL.M from a recognized law school.
- More than 10 years of legal experience, preferably in top-tier law firms or global IT/software companies.
- Strong experience in India commercial contracts.
- Expertise in software licensing, IP, copyright, and trademarks.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.
- Valid work permit for the job location.
