Details of the Job/Internship

Headout is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with 8–10 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement contracting strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage the full lifecycle of contracts from drafting to renewal.
• Lead negotiations and maintain strong relationships with partners, clients, and vendors.
• Oversee the IP portfolio, including audits and litigation management.
• Support corporate and secretarial compliance functions.
• Contribute to data privacy initiatives, policies, and internal assessments.
• Identify and mitigate legal and contractual risks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for goal alignment.
• Implement process improvements using legal tech and AI tools.
• Maintain records and generate reports on contracts and IP.

Eligibility

• LL.B degree with 8–10 years of legal experience in-house or at a top-tier law firm.
• Experience with commercial contracts and legal frameworks in the US, EU, UAE, and India.
• Knowledge of IP, compliance, and data privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Certifications like CIPP/E or CIPM are a plus.
• Proficiency in legal tech tools and CLM software preferred.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
