ABB is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with experience of 10 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Providing strategic legal support in India in connection to various divisions in the Motion Business area and being a part of the respective division leadership team of the country.
• Independently draft, review, negotiate, and provide guidance on various kinds of contracts, projects, or deals in line with ABB corporate & business area policies and applicable local laws.
• Formulating improvements or development of legal processes, due diligence and legal productivity, simplicity, and standardization, reflecting the country-specific requirements.
• Monitoring and responding to any legal notices and manage division-specific litigations timely and effectively in close collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
• Support fiduciary obligations and support ABB Integrity initiatives in close collaboration with other L&I counsels.

Eligibility

• A bachelor's or master’s degree in law from a reputed law school. Additional qualifications like CS (or) certifications in digital topics will be a plus.
• At least 10 years of post-qualification legal experience or equivalent in a reputable law firm or a major MNC.
• Should have a sound knowledge of digital, competition law and risk management.
• Demonstrated ability to obtain high quality outcomes with tight time frames and cost-effective use of resources coupled with excellent negotiation, persuasion, and judgment skills.
• Demonstrates integrity and strives for excellence in work.
• Experience in handling investigations and formulating compliance/integrity policy is preferred, but not mandatory.
• An individual who has strong communication skills and capabilities to manage legal and compliance issues in a diversified background and with a solution-focused approach.
