Details of the Job/Internship
Altacit Global is hiring a full-time Senior Legal Counsel based in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal counsel and guidance. You'll handle a wide range of legal matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks for the company. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead legal initiatives and contribute to the growth and success of Altacit Global's operations in Chennai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to clients in Corporate Law matters.
- Handle contracts, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and corporate governance issues.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced lawyers.
- Manage a diverse range of challenging legal matters effectively.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Law from a recognized university or institute.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Corporate Lawyer or in a related field.
- Experience in advising clients on corporate law matters, including contracts, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and corporate governance.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing corporate law in India.
- Experience in dealing with government agencies and regulators is a plus.
- Membership of the Bar Council of India or any State Bar Council is a plus.
