Details of the Job/Internship
Alten Group is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to lead legal activities for its India operations in Bangalore.
Role and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the legal team and foster collaboration.
- Mentor team members on complex legal and contractual matters.
- Draft, negotiate, review, and revise contracts across jurisdictions (US, India, Germany).
- Identify legal risks and propose business-aligned solutions.
- Support risk assessment and monitoring of new business initiatives.
- Draft and review communications with business partners, customers, and public authorities.
- Provide legal support to internal departments and project teams.
- Guide deployment of local and group compliance programs, including training and policies.
- Act as part of the compliance ambassador network for areas such as data privacy, anti-corruption, export control, and trade sanctions.
- Oversee legal research and provide timely, actionable advice.
- Respond to day-to-day legal queries from the business.
Eligibility
- Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory.
- Strong understanding of compliance, corporate governance, and regulatory frameworks.
- Leadership experience and ability to mentor legal teams.
- Business-oriented mindset with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
