ALTEN India is hiring for the position of Senior Legal Counsel with 8-10 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the in-house legal team.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts across multiple jurisdictions.
- Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks in operations, contracts, and new initiatives.
- Oversee compliance programs, including data privacy, anti-corruption, and trade regulations.
- Conduct legal research and deliver practical guidance for business decisions.
- Engage with internal teams to explain legal risks and solutions effectively.
Eligibility
- LLB degree and admission to the Bar Council.
- 8–10 years’ experience, including 5+ years in-house in a global company.
- Exposure to IT/engineering contracts, compliance programs, data privacy, anti-corruption, export control, and trade sanctions.
- Familiarity with IP rights, defense contracts, and US/German laws preferred.
- Experience using AI tools for legal management.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English and a regional language; understanding of business ethics and integrity.
