Angel One is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel/Principal Legal Counsel – General Corporate Law with 5+ years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist with due diligence, transaction document review, negotiations, CP completion, and closing activities related to M&A, financing, and intra-group reorganizations.
- Provide legal support on corporate matters under Companies Act, SEBI Regulations, and other laws.
- Advise on group structuring, capital infusions, and corporate governance.
- Conduct legal research and assist in developing and implementing legal policies.
- Provide legal support on new product development, including review of design, onboarding flows, customer documents, and risk assessments.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts such as vendor, service, licensing, fund, regulatory, and structured finance documents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for legal compliance and guidance.
Eligibility
- LLB from an accredited institution.
- Admitted to practice law in India.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transactional work and general corporate law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contracts, and legal principles.
- Excellent analytical, research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
