Details of the Job/Internship
ANSR is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with 7+ years of experience to join its team in Bengaluru. The role involves handling commercial contracts, supporting business teams, managing the contract lifecycle, and overseeing real estate and property-related legal matters.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate service agreements, vendor agreements, customer contracts, NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, technology and SaaS agreements, and procurement contracts.
- Provide legal support to business development, procurement, finance, and operations teams.
- Advise on risk allocation, limitation of liability, indemnities, warranties, and termination clauses.
- Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and internal approval workflows.
- Oversee the contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and performance monitoring.
- Support resolution of pre-litigation disputes and coordinate with external counsel.
- Manage legal aspects of property acquisition, sale, leasing, and licensing transactions.
- Conduct title due diligence and prepare title reports.
- Draft and review property-related agreements and documentation.
- Liaise with external counsel, developers, and government authorities for registrations and compliance.
- Maintain property-related records and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
- LL.M. preferred.
- 7+ years of post-qualification experience with exposure to commercial contracting and real estate legal work.
- Experience in an in-house legal function, preferably in technology, infrastructure, or real estate sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of the Indian Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, RERA, Stamp Act, and Registration laws.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with contract lifecycle management tools is preferred.
