Details of the Job/Internship
AVEVA is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with experience of more than 10 years to join their office in Mumbai, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide legal support for commercial deal pursuits and regional legal matters.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal legal guidelines.
- Draft, review, advise, and negotiate commercial contracts including software, maintenance, consultancy, procurement, and strategic alliance agreements.
- Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and the legal team.
- Lead and support special projects such as contract templates, policies, and process improvements.
- Assist with HR and licensing matters in the region.
- Coordinate with internal experts, external counsel, and authorities.
- Prepare contract summaries, legal trackers, and dispute resolution trackers.
- Support the development of legal procedures for APAC operations.
Eligibility
- More than 10 years of experience as an attorney.
- Experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team in global IT or software services companies.
- Experience in software licensing, maintenance services, and intellectual property matters.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- Experience handling Indian commercial contracts.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Asian business culture.
- Willingness to travel.
- Valid work permit for the location of the position.
