Details of the Job/Internship

Bunge is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves providing strategic legal counsel and support to the business operations of Bunge in the India Region, including managing legal matters related to advisory, transactional, litigation, compliance, and regulatory issues.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel on all country legal matters including advisory, transactional, regulatory, and compliance issues.
• Partner with global and regional legal teams to ensure unified legal strategy.
• Advise on, draft, and review commercial documentation and implement standard templates and processes.
• Manage corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and joint ventures.
• Monitor regulatory developments and ensure legal compliance.
• Represent the company before authorities and quasi-judicial agencies.
• Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution to protect company interests.
• Conduct legal training sessions and implement legal technology tools.
• Develop and manage relationships with external counsel, ensuring quality and cost efficiency.
• Report on litigation, projects, and costs to the Associate General Counsel.

Eligibility

• Qualified lawyer.
• 10–12+ years of experience as an in-house attorney in a multinational corporation (preferably FMCG) or reputed law firm.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills (English, Hindi, and Marathi).
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage deadlines effectively.
