Details of the Job/Internship

HCLTech is hiring a Senior Product and Channel Counsel – Software & Multi-Channel Sales with 10+ years of experience to join their legal team in Noida.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal counsel on software product development and distribution, including licensing and compliance with global technology laws.
• Advise on legal issues related to software sales through B2B, partners, e-commerce platforms, and OEMs.
• Draft and negotiate software licensing, SaaS, reseller, and distribution agreements.
• Ensure compliance with domestic and international regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, export control, and competition laws.
• Collaborate with data privacy and engineering teams to embed security and compliance in product licenses.
• Guide multi-jurisdictional compliance for global distribution.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks in software sales and third-party integrations.
• Manage disputes related to licensing, regulatory inquiries, and contractual disagreements.
• Support business teams with legal advice for expansion and sales strategies.
• Develop internal policies and provide training on software licensing and compliance.

Eligibility

• Law degree from an accredited institution and admission to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of legal experience in software, technology law, and multi-channel sales or distribution.
• Preferred experience in technology companies (OEM or SaaS).
• Strong knowledge of licensing models, open-source compliance, and product lifecycle management.
• Expertise in data privacy, export laws, antitrust, and emerging AI/cloud regulations.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
