Details of the Job/Internship
Infosys is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel / Corporate Counsel (Global Procurement Contracts) with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join their team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Safeguard the company’s legal interests and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
- Review and manage various commercial agreements, including vendor, SaaS, licensing, consulting, recruitment, and marketing agreements.
- Supervise and guide junior counsels in contract drafting and review.
- Participate in contract negotiations with vendors and customers.
- Identify legal and commercial risks and provide clear recommendations.
- Ensure adherence to internal contracting and risk mitigation policies.
- Provide legal advisory on corporate compliance matters.
- Support executive leadership with legal insights and decision-making.
Eligibility
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a lawyer.
- Law degree from a reputed law school.
- Relevant experience in the IT industry.
- Strong knowledge of global commercial contracting practices.
- Understanding of information security, IP compliance, and data privacy laws.
- Experience in handling high-value transactions independently.
- Prior experience in managing and mentoring teams.
