Details of the Job/Internship
Ingersoll Rand is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with 7+ years of experience to join their India office (preferably in Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, or Pune) and support their Middle East, India, and Africa (MEIA) legal operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal advice to MEIA leadership.
- Support compliance with laws applicable to publicly traded entities in India.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and legal documents across jurisdictions.
- Advise on M&A, data privacy, corporate law, and litigation matters.
- Collaborate with global legal teams and supervise external counsel.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and assist internal departments in legal processes.
- Lead corporate secretarial and procurement-related legal support.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a commercial legal role.
- Full professional proficiency in English.
- Experience with cross-border transactions and contract negotiation.
- Excellent legal drafting, communication, and analytical skills.
- Indian legal qualification required.
- In-house legal experience preferred.
