Details of the Job/Internship
Mindtickle is hiring for the position of Senior Legal Counsel with 10+ years of experience to join their office in Pune.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex outbound contracts, including SaaS licensing agreements, professional services agreements, and related commercial documents.
- Serve as a legal advisor in enterprise SaaS transactions and ensure compliance with contract law and revenue recognition principles.
- Identify legal risks and opportunities, offering proactive, business-oriented solutions.
- Develop and improve standard agreement templates, negotiation playbooks, and scalable legal processes.
- Provide contract interpretation and guidance to internal teams, ensuring consistent compliance and alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Finance, Legal Ops, and other teams to support deal execution and resolve legal and business challenges.
- Act as the primary liaison for managing external counsel (labor, IP, trademarks, etc.) and support operations on general corporate legal matters.
- Contribute to strategic projects such as M&A, market expansion, data privacy compliance, and intellectual property protection.
- Lead and mentor members of the legal team; foster a culture of learning, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Partner directly with senior leadership to align legal strategy with key business priorities.
Eligibility
- 10+ years of professional legal experience, with significant exposure to SaaS, tech, or enterprise commercial contracting; in-house experience preferred.
- Expertise in SaaS licensing, commercial law, and a strong understanding of data privacy and IP protection.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume, high-stakes contract negotiations with a sharp business mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across time zones.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across technical and non-technical teams.
- A proactive, collaborative attitude with a passion for closing deals and driving results.
Salary/Stipend
