Details of the Job/Internship

Mindtickle is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel with over 10 years of experience to join their legal team in Pune, Maharashtra.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate outbound SaaS and on-premise licensing contracts and related agreements.
• Provide legal analysis to support long-term risk mitigation and strategic opportunities.
• Develop and improve standard legal templates and processes.
• Offer contract interpretation and compliance guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate contract modifications and ensure effective communication with business teams.
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations to resolve legal and business challenges.
• Ensure all necessary approvals are obtained prior to contract execution.
• Manage relationships with external counsel on labor, IP, trademarks, and related matters.
• Support corporate legal operations and strategic projects such as M&A and partnerships.
• Advise senior leadership and help protect Mindtickle’s IP portfolio.
• Lead and mentor junior legal team members.

Eligibility

• Minimum 10 years of professional legal experience; in-house experience preferred.
• Practical experience in SaaS licensing and commercial contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with privacy and data protection laws.
• Strong deal-closing skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal, coordination, and time management skills.
• Ability to work across time zones and legal topics.
