Details of the Job/Internship

Infosys is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel / Corporate Counsel (Global Procurement Contracts) with experience of 8 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Review commercial agreements such as Vendor Service Agreements, SAAS and Software License Agreements, Consulting or Professional Services Agreements, Recruitment, Marketing and Sponsorship Agreements, and other business-related contracts.
• Manage and supervise junior counsels in contract review and drafting.
• Participate in negotiations with vendors and customers while ensuring adherence to internal contracting and risk mitigation requirements.
• Analyze legal issues and commercial risks and provide clear recommendations while ensuring legal compliance.
• Undertake legal advisory functions relating to general corporate compliance.
• Provide legal advice to executive staff and manage junior counsels.
• Demonstrate strong transactional drafting and communication skills with domain expertise in IT contracting.
• Independently handle high-value transactions.
• Exhibit management and mentoring skills with experience in leading a team.
• Provide solutions to complex commercial and legal issues and influence senior management decisions.
• Ensure understanding of commercial contracting principles, global standards, and best practices.
• Maintain knowledge of corporate legal requirements including information security, IP compliance, and data privacy.
• Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, analytical, and time management skills while delivering consistent, high-quality work.
• Build collaborative partnerships across teams and contribute to the legal department’s functionality.

Eligibility

• BA (LLB) or Masters in Law from a Bar Council of India recognized institute.
• Minimum 8 years of experience with relevant exposure in the IT industry.
