Details of the Job/Internship

Infosys is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel / Corporate Counsel (Global Procurement Contracts) with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join its legal team in Bengaluru. The role involves providing legal support for global procurement and commercial contracts, managing junior counsels, advising senior management, and ensuring compliance with corporate and contractual requirements relevant to an information technology services organisation.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assisting in protecting the company’s legal interests and ensuring operations remain within the scope of applicable laws.
• Reviewing and managing commercial agreements, including vendor service agreements, SaaS and software licence agreements, consulting and professional services agreements, recruitment, marketing, sponsorship, and other IT services-related contracts.
• Managing and mentoring junior counsels in drafting and reviewing agreements.
• Participating in negotiations with vendors and customers while ensuring compliance with internal contracting and risk mitigation requirements.
• Analysing legal and commercial risks and providing clear recommendations to ensure legal compliance.
• Undertaking legal advisory functions relating to general corporate compliance.
• Providing legal advice across executive levels and supporting decision-making at senior management levels.

Eligibility

• BA LL.B. or Master’s in Law from a Bar Council of India recognised institute.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a lawyer.
• Relevant experience in the information technology industry.
• Strong expertise in commercial contracting and corporate legal requirements.
