Details of the Job/Internship

Ultra Media is seeking a seasoned Sr. Legal Executive with over 7 years of experience to lead its non-litigation legal affairs in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize complex agreements for the acquisition of various media rights across platforms (OTT, Satellite, Digital).
• Draft and review specialized production agreements for film and digital content.
• Lead negotiations and draft contracts with music labels, celebrities, artists, and content providers.
• Manage vendor and customer agreements to ensure operational compliance.
• Advise on intellectual property rights (IPR) protection and monetization strategies.
• Ensure all contracts safeguard the company's interests in long-term rights and royalties.
• Provide strategic legal support to the production and distribution teams.

Eligibility

• Minimum 7+ years of experience in a non-litigation legal role.
• Industry Preference: Candidates from the Media & Entertainment industry are highly preferred.
• Strong expertise in Intellectual Property Law and Media Rights.
• Proven track record in negotiating and drafting high-stakes celebrity and artist contracts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder management.
• Ability to manage a high volume of complex documentation with precision.
