Details of the Job/Internship

SPR City is hiring a Senior Legal Executive for a full-time role based in Perambur, Chennai. The role involves managing construction and property-related legal matters, including contract management, land and title due diligence, regulatory compliance, and litigation support, while ensuring alignment with business objectives and applicable legal standards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate construction contracts, vendor agreements, and client contracts.
• Conduct title searches, verification, and due diligence for land acquisition and sales.
• Provide legal guidance on property transactions, including drafting deeds, leases, and related documents.
• Ensure compliance with construction laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Advise on risk mitigation strategies and legal implications of construction practices.
• Manage legal disputes related to construction and property matters.
• Coordinate with external counsel for dispute resolution through negotiation, mediation, or litigation.
• Handle documentation related to stamp duty, registration, and regulatory compliance for property transactions.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction or real estate industry.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation, property law, and construction litigation.
• In-depth knowledge of property laws, real estate regulations, and contract law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.
• Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
