Unacademy is hiring a Senior Associate – Legal with 2+ years of experience to join their office in Bangalore.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including vendor agreements, SaaS agreements, MSAs, franchise agreements, SOWs, subscription agreements, and collaboration agreements.
- Support vendor onboarding, commercial negotiations, contract structuring, and risk mitigation.
- Identify and assess legal, regulatory, and operational risks in business partnerships and franchise models.
- Ensure compliance with employment and labour laws, including Shops & Establishments, wage laws, and state-specific regulations across centres and offices.
- ssist with compliance under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including privacy policies, consent mechanisms, and vendor data protection terms.
- Manage the contract lifecycle through legal technology platforms.
- Oversee contract execution, stamping, repository management, and audit preparedness.
Eligibility
LL.B / BA LL.B from a recognised university with 2+ years of relevant experience (in-house experience preferred).
