Details of the Job/Internship

National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) is hiring a Senior Lead – Legal (Product Lawyer, Technology Contracts, Fintech Lawyer) with 10+ years of post-qualification experience to join their Mumbai office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end legal matters of the organization and provide guidance on business strategies and policies.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex and high-risk agreements with domestic and international entities.
• Advise management and teams on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters.
• Oversee litigation management and prepare affidavits, replies, and submissions.
• Manage intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
• Collaborate with external counsel on commercial and policy issues.
• Implement and maintain legal documentation and litigation management systems.
• Research and update internal stakeholders on relevant legal and regulatory developments.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.), preferably a five-year integrated course.
• Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience.
• Expertise in technology contracts, fintech law, compliance, and payments regulation.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Experience managing external counsels and litigation.
• Proficiency in using AI tools for contract drafting, review, and research.
