Details of the Job/Internship

Ajna Capital is hiring a Senior Legal Manager with experience of 3–5 years to join one of their portfolio companies in Chandigarh.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance, M&A, joint ventures, and investments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and MOUs.
• Ensure compliance with local and international corporate regulatory requirements.
• Advise on international operations, legal entity setup, and trade laws.
• Oversee legal due diligence for cross-border transactions.
• Coordinate with external counsel for international legal matters.
• Guide legal compliance, including data protection and anti-bribery regulations.
• Develop policies to mitigate legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Monitor global legal developments and advise internal teams.
• Manage disputes and litigation related to corporate and international matters.
• Partner with internal teams to align legal support with business strategy.

Eligibility

• Law degree (LLB, JD, or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
• An additional postgraduate qualification (LLM, MBA) is advantageous.
• 3–5 years of experience in corporate and international legal matters.
• Strong understanding of corporate laws, cross-border transactions, and dispute resolution.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating complex contracts and legal documents.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple legal matters under tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
• Preferred: Experience with multinational corporations, financial institutions, or sectors such as private equity, venture capital, or investment banking.
