Details of the Job/Internship
C5i is hiring a senior legal manager to join them in Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for operating, administration, and management (under periodic supervision & oversight) of all internal and external legal documents in relation to Clients or any other third parties on behalf of the organization. Documents such as Client facing Master Services Agreement, NDA’s, SOWs Data Protection Agreements, Tri-partite agreements and such other transactional documents.
- You will assist in administration managing the entire contract/legal lifecycle and be in-charge of the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) to optimize its benefits across the organizations and a single source of truth.
- Effective liaison and communication shall be the key competency area. Direct exposures to liabilities, disputes and litigations arising out of Contracts, Agreements, SOWs and SLAs must be avoided and hence Contracts, Agreements, SOWs and SLAs must be drafted and prepared in close consultation of key stake holders and user functions and the role entails thorough review and understanding and consequential reviews accompanied with in-depth understanding, expertise, and experience in handling various types of Contracts, Agreements, SOWs and SLAs related to the transaction and business of the Company
- Developing and writing clear explanations and justifications for any new change or update in the contracts, service level agreements, transaction / compliance documentation, corporate agreements / documentation.
- You shall coordinate & collaborate for legal & contractual compliance for designated business verticals and services and work closely with General Legal Counsel.
- You will advise on contract status, legal risks, and liabilities of different transactions and ensure that all types of contracts are executed within reasonable TAT.
- You will assist in researching data privacy and cybersecurity issues affecting the transactions, projects and the Company. You will work with the senior legal counsel (including the data protection officer + data compliance team) on developing and improvising existing SOPs and new developments in the data protection laws to ensure that the Company is compliant/good standing with global data regulations and best practices.
- Track and provide regular reports on the status of legal department operations and issues being dealt with and ensure that all relevant information regarding legal matters is accurate and kept up to date by updating the legal activity progress documents, contract repositories, abstraction sheet and master data
- Providing and interpreting Legal information, conducting training and disseminate appropriate Legal requirements related to Contracts/Agreements to various Functions.
Eligibility
- At least 9+PQEyears of relevant global and domain expertise in a Client / Customer Contract Management environment for a Tier 1 IT Services firm or Fortune 500 Company.
- Wide base of exposure / experience across Client / Customer Contract Management & Shared Services environments within Tier 1 IT Services firm or Fortune 500 Company.
- Bachelors / master’s in law from a reputed university / institution.
- Excellent working knowledge of the fundamental legal and commercial contractual provisions.
- Logical thinking and good decision-making abilities
- Work independently, self-learning attitude, disciplined, sincere and need less supervision.
- Ability to build, operate and manage direct reports / small team of resources.
- Advance Verbal and Written communication skills.
- Experienced user of MS office, MS Power Point and MS Excel.
- Quick learner and adaptive to any process change in a minimal time period.
- Flexible to support cross border teams/clients as and when required.
- Ability to comprehend questions and respond appropriately (writing and verbal)
