Details of the Job/Internship
DS Group is hiring an experienced legal professional to manage litigation and advisory work related to Food Laws, Legal Metrology, and Consumer Protection.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle litigation under Food Laws, Legal Metrology, and Consumer Protection before the Supreme Court, High Courts, and District Courts.
- Coordinate with Senior Advocates, Advocates-on-Record, and external law firms, including preparation of briefs and case strategies.
- Advise business teams on product labelling, advertisements, and promotional schemes.
- Monitor new laws and regulatory amendments, assess business impact, and represent the company before regulators and government authorities.
- Conduct legal risk assessments, drive compliance initiatives, and carry out internal legal audits.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a reputed university (5-year integrated programme preferred).
- 10–12 years of experience in Food Laws, preferably within the FMCG or food industry.
- Strong expertise in FSSAI, Legal Metrology, and Consumer Protection laws.
- Business-oriented legal approach with strong drafting and communication skills.
- Proven stakeholder management abilities, leadership skills, and willingness to travel.
