Details of the Job/Internship
Enfinity Global is seeking a Legal Manager – Land Acquisition to manage legal matters related to acquiring land for renewable energy projects across South India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage legal aspects of land acquisition for solar, wind, and hybrid projects.
- Conduct end-to-end legal due diligence: title clearance, encumbrance checks, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain and track all land documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with state authorities, land aggregators, and revenue offices for verification and documentation.
- Liaise with external legal counsel and lenders’ advisors for legal due diligence and title searches.
- Review public and private records, including deeds, revenue records, mutations, and encumbrances.
- Conduct audits of land documents, identify issues, and advise rectification measures.
- Assess legal risks and suggest strategies for compliance and mitigation.
- Draft MoUs, sale/lease deeds, GPAs, ATS/ATL, agreements, and contracts for land acquisition.
- Ensure execution and registration of land-related legal documents in compliance with state laws.
- Track land conversions, mutations, and legal clearances; maintain up-to-date status.
- Resolve legal disputes through engagement with authorities, courts, and forums.
- Collaborate with panel advocates and external counsel for litigation, arbitration, or proceedings.
- Conduct legal research on Acts, case laws, government policies, renewable energy regulations, zoning laws, and environmental guidelines.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM or specialization in Property, Infrastructure, or Environmental Law is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of legal experience with 3–5 years in renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in land acquisition and land legal disputes in South Indian states.
- Strong understanding of state-specific land laws, property rights, renewable energy policies, and regulations.
- Experience drafting legal documents, negotiating contracts, and coordinating with stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel across project locations in South India.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
