Details of the Job/Internship

Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys Ltd is hiring a Legal Counsel to manage litigation, corporate legal matters, and contract negotiations. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and external counsel, providing legal research and opinions, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle litigations before High Court, lower courts, tribunals (Industrial Tribunals, OERC Statutory), and consumer forums.
• Coordinate and brief external counsel on legal matters.
• Provide research-oriented services, consultations, and legal opinions on internal legal queries.
• Draft basic legal documents and agreements.
• Liaise with lawyers to ensure timely review and follow-up.
• Manage and coordinate external counsel for litigation, disputes, and specialized legal matters.
• Lead legal due diligence and support M&A or other strategic transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including commercial agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, including corporate governance and regulatory requirements.

Eligibility

• Proven experience in corporate legal matters, litigation, and contract drafting.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills.
• Experience coordinating with external counsel and managing litigation.
• Knowledge of corporate governance and regulatory compliance.
