Details of the Job/Internship
KreditVenture is hiring a Senior Legal Manager – LAP & Commercial Vehicle with 8–10+ years of corporate legal experience to join their Head Office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and finalise loan and security documentation including loan agreements, mortgages, hypothecation deeds, guarantees, and undertakings.
- Provide legal vetting and approvals prior to disbursement and support deal structuring.
- Review title verification reports and legal opinions and assess legal risks in mortgage creation.
- Oversee mortgage registration and ensure CERSAI compliance across states.
- Manage and evaluate external advocates and legal vendors and monitor their performance.
- Support audits and ensure compliance with NBFC, RBI, and internal lending policies.
- Collaborate with credit, operations, risk, and compliance teams on legal issues.
- Coordinate with external counsel on litigation, enforcement, and dispute monitoring.
- Draft legal notices, police complaints, representations, and official correspondence.
Eligibility
- LL.B. degree is mandatory; LL.M. is preferred.
- Registered with the State Bar Council.
- Minimum 6+ years of legal experience, with 8–10+ years in corporate legal functions within the mortgage, banking, NBFC, or HFC sector.
- Exposure to multi-state mortgage documentation, due diligence, compliance, and external counsel coordination.
- Strong knowledge of property and mortgage laws and NBFC regulatory requirements.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
