Details of the Job/Internship

Licious is looking for candidate for the position of Senior Legal Manager with 8 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably in a corporate environment.

Role and Responsibilities

• Lease Agreements: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage lease agreements, renewals, and terminations, ensuring compliance with laws
• Property Due Diligence: Conduct due diligence for property transactions, assessing risks and coordinating with stakeholders
• Agreement Review and Drafting: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (e.g., Marketing, Media, Endorsement, Production, IT, e-Commerce, Supply, Service Agreements, NDAs)
• Litigation Management: Oversee litigation and dispute resolution, liaise with external counsel, and develop risk mitigation strategies
• Policy and SOP Drafting: Draft, review, and update policies and SOPs for legal and regulatory compliance
• Team Management: Lead and mentor a small team, fostering a collaborative environment
• Legal Metrology: Ensure compliance with legal metrology regulations and accurate product labeling
• Compliance Management: Implement compliance programs, conduct audits, and provide employee training on compliance matters
• Advising and Counselling: Provide proactive legal support to business teams to minimize risk and offer legal advice on relevant issues
• Liaising and Relationship Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Business, Finance, Taxation) to ensure timely agreement closures and promote the legal function's value

Eligibility

• A Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB); a master's degree or additional qualifications in law will be a plus
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably in a corporate environment
• A strong knowledge of real estate, contract law, litigation management, and compliance regulations
• A proven experience in managing a small legal team and working with senior management
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Proficiency in legal research and use of legal databases
• Experience in privacy laws will be an added advantage

Salary/Stipend
