Porter is hiring a Senior Legal Manager with experience of 6–9 years to join their office in Bengaluru. The role involves managing the lifecycle of commercial agreements across customer and vendor relationships within the logistics ecosystem while providing legal guidance, mitigating risks, and aligning legal strategies with business objectives.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage the entire lifecycle of commercial agreements including drafting, review, negotiation, and finalisation.
• Handle customer and vendor contracts within the logistics ecosystem ensuring alignment with business goals and risk mitigation.
• Provide proactive legal guidance to stakeholders across the organisation on diverse legal issues.
• Identify legal risks in logistics operations, analyse business impact, and formulate practical solutions.
• Align legal strategies with business objectives while minimising legal and financial exposure.
• Navigate laws and regulations relating to logistics and transportation and maintain compliance with local and international standards.
• Advise on corporate governance, consumer protection, and e-commerce compliance matters.
• Manage corporate transactions including review and negotiation of transaction documents and financial agreements such as share subscription, shareholding, and share purchase agreements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate legal compliance across business functions.
• Oversee legal team workflow, allocate resources, and assess practices to identify improvements.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and efficiencies within legal operations.

Eligibility

• Law graduate/LL.B. with 6–9 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
• Sector experience in logistics preferred.
• Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• High standards of ethics, integrity, and values.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to summarise complex technical concepts for stakeholders.
• Solution-oriented approach with focus on execution.

Salary/Stipend
