Details of the Job/Internship

Porter is hiring a Legal Manager with 6–9 years of post-qualification experience.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of commercial agreements from drafting and review to negotiation and execution.
• Handle contracts across customer and vendor relationships within the logistics ecosystem.
• Act as a proactive legal partner to stakeholders by providing timely and practical legal guidance.
• Identify legal risks in logistics operations and develop pragmatic mitigation strategies.
• Ensure alignment of legal strategies with business goals while minimizing legal and financial exposure.
• Advise on logistics, transportation laws, and applicable local and international compliance requirements.
• Provide legal counsel on corporate governance, consumer protection, and e-commerce compliance.
• Review and negotiate transaction documents and manage diverse corporate legal matters.
• Handle share subscription, shareholding, and share purchase agreements for corporate transactions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to embed legal compliance into business processes.
• Oversee the legal team’s workflow and allocate resources to meet business needs.
• Identify bottlenecks in legal operations and implement process improvements and automation initiatives.

Eligibility

• Law graduate with an LL.B degree.
• 6–9 years of relevant post-qualification legal experience.
• Prior sector experience in logistics is preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills.
• High ethical standards, problem-solving ability, and stakeholder management skills.

Salary/Stipend
