Details of the Job/Internship

Porter is hiring a Legal Counsel with 6–9 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, preferably in logistics, to join the team.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of commercial agreements, including drafting, review, negotiation, and finalization.
• Oversee contracts with customers and vendors, aligning agreements with business goals and mitigating risks.
• Act as a proactive legal partner, providing timely guidance on various legal issues.
• Identify legal risks in logistics operations and recommend practical solutions.
• Ensure legal strategies minimize exposure while supporting business objectives.
• Provide counsel on corporate governance, consumer protection, and e-commerce compliance.
• Handle corporate transactions, including share subscription, shareholding, and share purchase agreements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to embed legal compliance into business initiatives.
• Manage legal team workflow, allocate resources effectively, and assess current practices for improvements.
• Implement process improvements, automation, and efficiencies in legal operations.

Eligibility

• Law Graduate / LL.B with 6–9 years of post-qualification experience.
• Relevant experience in logistics sector preferred.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
• High ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.
• Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and summarize complex legal concepts.
• Problem-solving skills, creativity, and solutions-oriented mindset.

Salary/Stipend
