Details of the Job/Internship

Profectus Capital Pvt. Ltd. is hiring for the position of Senior Legal Manager with 8-10 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

Legal Proceedings under Statutes:

• Initiate and manage proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 and Section 25 of the Payment & Settlement Systems Act, 2007.
• Oversee recovery actions under the SARFAESI Act, 2002, from issuance of 13(2) notice through to sale certificate registration.

Arbitration & Court Matters:

• Handle arbitration proceedings including applications under Section 17, Section 9 (interim relief), and enforcement of awards under Section 36 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
• Lead execution proceedings from initiation to closure before competent courts.

Insolvency & Bankruptcy:

• Manage proceedings under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), including filing claims, representing the organization in CoC meetings, and exercising voting rights.

Litigation & Dispute Resolution:

• Provide legal solutions for recovery in defaulted cases.
• Represent the organization in disputes, both filed by and against the company.
• Organize and manage Lok Adalats, mediation, and conciliation camps efficiently.

Representation & Court Appearances:

• Appear and coordinate matters before NCLT, NCLAT, High Courts, District Courts, DRT, and Consumer Forums.
• Maintain ongoing liaison with external legal counsel, law firms, and court administration.

Reporting & MIS:

• Maintain and update legal case MIS daily.
• Support the collections team with timely legal inputs and strategy.

Eligibility

Experience Required: 8–10 years
Education Qualification: LL.B. / LL.M.
