Details of the Job/Internship

TrillionLoans is hiring a Senior Legal Manager for its Gurugram office (onsite). The ideal candidate should have 7-11 years of legal experience, preferably in fintech, NBFC, or the lending sector.

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal Expertise
  • Fintech Lending Compliance: Advise on digital lending products (BNPL, personal & business loans) to ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with LSPs, fintech partners, and vendors (digital KYC & signing solutions).
  • Loan Documentation: Standardize loan agreements, KFS, sanction letters, and application forms for SME and retail loans.
  • Fundraising & Treasury: Draft and execute agreements for term loans, credit lines, overdrafts, and bank guarantees with banks, NBFCs, and VC funds.
  • Litigation Management: Oversee recovery litigation (Arbitration, Cheque/NACH bounce cases, Recovery Suits) and coordinate with external counsel.
• Problem-Solving & Compliance
  • Address loan recovery challenges while ensuring legal compliance.
  • Develop efficient recovery processes while maintaining a positive brand image.
• Collaboration & Regulatory Oversight
  • Work with Product, Compliance, Finance, and Engineering teams to mitigate legal risks.
  • Stay updated on fintech & NBFC regulations, ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain legal trackers, MIS reports, and conduct internal process reviews.

Eligibility

• LLB degree from a recognized university.
• 7-11 years of experience in a similar legal role (fintech/NBFC/lending sector preferred).
• Strong contract negotiation, legal compliance, and litigation management skills.
• Experience in loan structuring, treasury documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to handle external counsel and law enforcement interactions.
