Details of the Job/Internship

Franklin Templeton is hiring a Senior Legal Specialist with around 4 years of relevant experience to join its Hyderabad office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage existing and new fund registrations, including Form N-1A filings.
• Prepare, review, and update fund disclosure documents such as prospectuses, SAIs, shareholder reports, and proxies.
• Organize and maintain legal files, databases, and document management systems.
• Coordinate monthly and annual EDGAR filings, including forms 485a, 485b, 497K, 497J, XBRL, and related financial filings.
• Support reorganizations, new fund launches, and proxy filings.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and portfolio managers on regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with SEC rules and internal policies by maintaining accurate fund documents.
• Provide administrative and project support to attorneys and the legal team.
• Lead and support training for junior non-exempt staff.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate degree with emphasis on Paralegal studies, or equivalent work experience.
• Around 4 years of relevant corporate experience.
• Prior legal/compliance experience in asset management or financial services preferred.
• Excellent drafting, proofreading, research, analytical, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, and Visio.
• Ability to work independently, handle confidential information, and manage multiple projects.
