Details of the Job/Internship

HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Limited is looking for a Senior Manager - Legal to join them at their office in Kochi.

Eligibility

• 1+ years of work experience with Third Party Claims.
• 1+ years of work experience with MACT.
• LLB (Mandatory).
• To manage Motor Third Party Claims Portfolio Compensation cases arising out of motor policies.
• Handling litigation related to retail loan recovery and defending the cases.
• To analyze the trends and steer the team for optimum performance.
• To monitor Lawyers performance and ensure they adhere to Company’s ethics and performance standards.
• Keep the team updated with latest legal position and interpretations of the relevant provisions/laws.
• Strategize defence line and guide on appropriate evidence being led to protect the interests of the Company.
• To prepare and submit various regulatory reports and comply with adhoc reports or data requirements from various authorities, auditors from time to time.
• Handling of MACT matters.
• Drafting and vetting of Legal documents including written objections and arguments to be filed in court.
• Handling of Appeals and Writ Petitions filed.
• Providing Legal assistance to other departments as required.
