Details of the Job/Internship

Tata AIA Life Insurance is hiring a Senior Manager (Contracts, IPR, and Litigation) with 10–12 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai/Thane

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse array of agreements, including MSAs, SaaS contracts, and Lease Deeds.
• Implement and manage the Contract Management Portal, including the creation of clause libraries and approval workflows.
• Lead high-priority legal projects such as vendor consolidation, contract rollouts, and cross-border transactions.
• Act as the primary legal partner for business units, translating complex legal risks into commercial recommendations.
• Oversee the end-to-end IPR and Trademark registration process for the company.
• Manage external counsel budgets and deliverables for litigation and specialized regulatory matters.
• Represent the company in various courts, taking proactive steps for cases filed by or against the organization.
• Track and report key legal metrics, such as cycle times and dispute statuses, to senior management.

Eligibility

• LLB from a reputed law college; an LLM or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
• 10–12 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate or commercial law.
• Substantial experience in life insurance companies, in-house legal teams, or top-tier law firms.
• Strong knowledge of Indian corporate, contract, regulatory, and jurisdictional laws.
• Proficiency with contract management systems, e-signature platforms, and MS Office.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior legal staff.
